Meet the Team
Vincent E. Bearjar, DMD
Dr. Bearjar began practicing dentistry in Wausau, Wisconsin in 1979, where he purchased a long-established practice that became Dental Options. Dr. Bearjar is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He graduated as a member of Omicron Delta Upsilon Honorary Dental Society and received the International College of Dentists Award.
Dr. Bearjar and his wife, Lois have three adult children and two grandchildren whom all reside in Wisconsin. The Bearjars are animal lovers and share their home with two dogs. In his free time, Dr. Bearjar enjoys curling, skiing, boating, bicycling, tennis, home improvement projects, and walking the dogs.
Tessa Laber, DDS
Dr. Laber was raised in northwest Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2008. She then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2012. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Laber practiced in the Wausau area for eight years. Dr. Laber is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Portage County Dental Association.
When she is not at the office, Dr. Laber likes to spend time at the lake with her husband, Tyler, and daughter, Lucy. She also enjoys traveling, cooking and trying new recipes, staying active outdoors, and gardening.
Dr. Wenhui Sun
Dr. Wenhui Sun moved to Wausau from the Washington D.C. area. Dr. Sun completed a seven-year combined dental program through the University of Connecticut and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. After dental school, Dr. Sun pursued a comprehensive general dentistry residency at the Summa Center for Dental Health in Akron, Ohio. She then went on to join a private practice in the D.C. area before coming back to the Midwest. Dr. Sun emphasizes comprehensive preventive care and works with each of her patients to improve their oral health. She enjoys learning and is always striving to stay up to date with continuing education courses each year. For the past few years, she has focused on learning more about pediatrics, sleep/airway dentistry, TMJ disorders and esthetic-focused restorative procedures. After having lived and worked in big cities for many years, Dr. Sun, her husband AJ, and their two dogs are all thrilled to be living in Wausau. They enjoy curling, traveling, and trying new foods.

Betty, Office Manager
Betty’s many years of experience in the field of dentistry have taught her a lot about how to manage a dental practice, and she’s looking forward to putting those skills to use at the brand new IDH office. Betty has tremendous respect and admiration for the entire IDH staff, and she enjoys all the wonderful people she meets while working in the practice.
Betty and her husband Larry have four adult children and one granddaughter. Outside of work, she has many interests and hobbies such as reading, scrapbooking, golfing, traveling, and playing games. Betty also enjoys being involved in the community.

Michelle, Office Manager
For the past 15 years, Michelle has worked for Kohl Dental. She enjoys getting to know patients and their families, and doing everything she can to make patients’ visits a pleasant and comfortable experience.
Michelle resides in Weston, where she enjoys walking, gardening, kayaking, and reading.

Lynn, Business Staff
Lynn was born and raised in Wausau where she also married her husband, Jerry, in 1990. They have two boys; Nickolas and Nathan.
In the summer, she enjoys camping, golfing, reading, and biking. Her family spends a great deal of time at the baseball diamonds. She is close to her family and has enjoyed watching her siblings’ families grow. Lynn says it’s been wonderful having her parents close by as her children have grown.
Lynn began her dental career working at Dental Options in 1991. Throughout the years, Lynn has worked as a receptionist and dental assistant, gaining knowledge of many areas of the practice. For the past few years, her primary role has been working with patients by helping them obtain the best benefits from their insurance company. She also shares the office administration duties with friend and coworker Betty.
Lynn says her job is enjoyable because of the friendships that she has formed through the years. She takes pleasure in getting to know patients personally.

Pam, Business Staff
Pam grew up in Wausau and has been in the dental field for 13 years – first as a Dental Assistant, and now as a front desk appointment coordinator. She enjoys working in healthcare and developing relationships with her wonderful patients.
Pam and her husband are celebrating 34 years of marriage and are blessed to have four beautiful children. She enjoys the outdoors, boating, and taking in the beauty of wildlife and nature.

Audra, Business Staff
Audra has been in the dental field since 2008. In 2013, she went back to school for a degree in business administration.
Audra has been married for 16 years and has three sons and one granddaughter. She loves watching the Packers, Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers.

Amanda, Dental Hygienist
Amanda was interested in Dentistry from an early age; she found teeth fascinating and enjoyed her experience with her childhood Dentist, Dr. Kohl. She worked as a Dental Assistant while simultaneously attending North Technical College in Wausau for a degree in Dental Hygiene. Amanda is passionate about helping patients learn about and improve their oral health.
Amanda lives in the Weston area with her husband, twin girls, and two stepsons. She enjoys traveling, concerts, and spending time with family.

Michelle, Dental Hygienist
Michelle Opal has many years of experience in the dental field, the majority of that time in the practice of dental hygiene in central Wisconsin. It is very important to her that her patients feel comfortable and are well informed. Through education and communication patients can make informed decisions and better advocate for their dental needs.
Michelle was raised in Wausau, where her family continues to call home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and outdoor activities during the warmer months including live music events.
She is looking forward to fostering relationships with her new patients.

Kim, Dental Hygienist
Kim grew up in the Rothschild-Schofield area and obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau. She is very passionate about oral health and especially loves working with children. She strives to be a part of improving patients’ health by educating them about proper home care.
Kim and her husband Paul have two daughters, Brianna and Taylor. Her hobbies include anything outdoors like walking, biking, and water skiing. She also enjoys yard work; it is very relaxing for her. Kim and her husband enjoy traveling and experiencing new tastes of good food.

Makenzie, Dental Hygienist
Makenzie is a recent graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program at NTC, where she also obtained a degree in Phlebotomy. She enjoys getting to know her patients and building their trust. Outside of work, Makenzie enjoys spending time on the lake with her family, enjoying warm weather. She also enjoys going to coffee shops with friends. She is looking forward to meeting new patients and building positive relationships with them.

Vicki, Dental Hygienist
Vicki has been a dental hygienist since 1988; graduating from Northcentral Technical College. She has always worked in central Wisconsin and truly enjoys her career. She loves the educational aspect of her job; teaching her patients so they can incorporate a healthy mouth into a healthy lifestyle. Vicki also is an adjunct instructor at NTC’s Dental Hygiene Clinic. Working with the students has been a rewarding experience.
In her spare time, Vicki has volunteered at Edgar Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician for thirty years. She also taught CPR for twenty-five years. She and her husband spend vacations camping and traveling, sometimes with her two adult children and friends. She looks forward to meeting many more of the patients and building relationships with you.

Nicole, Dental Hygienist
Nicole obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Minnesota State University (MSU), Mankato in 2013. For six months, she studied abroad in Erlangen, Germany where she was immersed in German language, culture and spent her free time exploring Europe. Nicole was born and raised near the Twin Cities in Minnesota and met her husband, a Wausau native, while attending MSU Mankato. We relocated to the Wausau area in 2017 and reside in Rib Mountain with her husband, Ben, their daughter, Emlyn and their dog, Uli.
Nicole’s favorite part about being a Dental Hygienist is getting to know, educate and motivate patients to achieve optimal oral health. She is committed to making dental visits a positive experience and strives to provide excellent care fit for the patient’s individual needs.
When Nicole isn’t working, she’s an adventurer. She loves traveling, baking, photography, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys doing anything outdoors, such as biking, camping, canoeing, tagging along on bird hunts, and exploring hiking trails. To relax, she loves to watch her honeybees fly around the yard, read, or watch a good movie or show.

Adam, Dental Assistant
Adam attended Northcentral Technical college in Wausau. His passion for healthcare came from other dental professionals who were role models and who inspired his career in dentistry in the first place.
Outside of the office, Adam enjoys reading and outdoor activities such as hiking, sailing, swimming, and camping.

Anita, Dental Assistant
Anita graduated from Bryman College in Seattle, Washington, where she studied to become a Dental Assistant. She’s worked in various dental settings and specialties and prides herself on providing exceptional patient care. She strongly believes in treating every patient the way she would want to be treated and strives to always improve her patients’ experience in the dental chair.
Anita enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is also a certified Zumba instructor and enjoys bringing fun and fitness to local communities.

Emily, Dental Assistant
Emily graduated from Northcentral Technical College as a Dental Assistant. Her passion and interest for dentistry came from family members in the field. She enjoys working with patients to create a comfortable environment leaving them with a great experience.
Outside of the office, Emily enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors, camping, walking and hunting.

Tiffany, Dental Assistant
Tiffany graduated from North Central Technical College as a Dental Assistant in December of 2017. She enjoys working in dentistry, loves helping patients receive their dental care, and strives to ensure patients feel comfortable during their treatment. Outside the office, Tiffany can be found at the baseball diamond, football field, or hockey rink cheering on her son Tyler. She also has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys hunting and fishing any chance she can get with her husband Steve.

Taylor, Dental Assistant
Taylor is a graduate of NTC dental assistant program, which she completed in the spring of 2020. She frequently travels on the weekends to the UP and back home. She loves the outdoors. She is often off to a race either in summer or winter.
