Endodontics

Root canal therapy and endodontic retreatment are the procedures used to save a diseased or injured tooth that has become inflamed or infected internally. The diseased pulp needs to be removed, cleaned and replaced with a natural rubber like material called gutta percha. Teeth that have been endodontically treated need to be restored with a crown as they will become brittle due to the hollowing out process during cleaning.
